I’ve been on a flower kick. Probably influenced by my tentative Emily Carr Grad project where I’ll be creating two over-the-top flower headdresses in real blooms.

So I’ve been stalking the internet looking for inspiration and was floored to discover this amazing show!

The VCNY Tulips & Pansies: The Headress Affair

Qut. from above – “On May 20th, over 300 people joined in the Fashion Capital of the World to support VillageCare’s annual Tulips & Pansies – The Headdress Affair, a runway show which brings together prestigious fashion and floral designers to create elaborate headdresses. Held at Gotham Hall, this springtime floral fete raises funds and awareness for VillageCare’s HIV/AIDS Services and the designers outdid themselves once again!”
